PENNY WALKER
Hall of Fame Inductee - 2001
In the 1970’s when legendary freedom fighters like Sherman Packard and Ron Roloff were sacrificing their time and skills to battle the nations first federal helmet legislation, a tenacious woman by the name of Penny Walker was matching them stride for stride. After their success at the Capital, Penny went on to join the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) as a Congress member and later as Government Relations Liaison. Even during her so called “down time” when she wasn’t lobbying, Penny was doing her part, writing letters to her senators and representatives. Although health issues took their toll, Penny couldn’t stay idle and volunteered her services, setting up legislative meetings, seminars and conventions from 1989 through 1994 for the nationally acclaimed Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF).
