The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame is happy to announce our Youth Build Program and Lonnie's Heart Scholarship Fund. For many years the Museum watched our friends grow a youth build program elsewhere in the community, this year realizing how vital it is to our mission to bring the program in house.

In 2019, senior high school students from the northern Black Hills will be invited to participate in a co-ed Youth Build Program sponsored by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame. These students are the future of motorcycle riding, building, designing and manufacturing, essentially, these students are our future Hall of Fame Inductees. The build will be "new versus old" with a group of students building a late model motorcycle and the other group will tackle a 1920's Harley Davidson.

This program will be instructed under the leadership of Hall of Fame Inductees, along with local recognized experts in the field of motorcycle parts manufacturing and custom bike builds. The students will be required to have passing grades and must be present at school, much like the athletic programs, to be eligible for the Youth Build Program. Once students are selected for the program, we will reach out to the counselors at those schools to stay on top of grades and attendance.
