Brian Klock
Class of 2012

A visionary custom motorcycle builder and entrepreneur, Brian Klock’s passion for two wheels started early in Emery, South Dakota, where he grew up around his family’s gas station. His creativity first caught national attention in 1990 with a purple FXR that impressed even Harley-Davidson legend Willie G. Davidson.
In 1997, Brian founded Klock Werks in Mitchell, South Dakota, operating initially from his mentor John Patton’s garage. He quickly became one of the industry's most respected and award-winning builders, helping to redefine the bagger motorcycle genre as a stylish and performance-driven platform.
Klock Werks gained national fame with their victory on the Discovery Channel’s Biker Build-Off series in 2007. That same bike set a land speed record at Bonneville, earning the title of the "World’s Fastest Bagger"—a major industry milestone.
Brian’s commitment to innovation led to the creation of the Flare™ Windshield, revolutionizing motorcycle aerodynamics and setting a new standard in performance parts. His influence extended to partnerships with major brands like Jack Daniel’s and Indian Motorcycles, designing a series of exclusive Limited-Edition motorcycles.
Inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame in 2012, Brian’s accolades include numerous state and industry awards. Today, he continues to lead Klock Werks’ operations in their 7,000-square-foot facility in Mitchell, SD, designing custom motorcycles, setting land speed records, and bringing new ideas to market—all while supporting his community through volunteer leadership and mentorship.
