Driven by a passion for maximizing the potential of Harley-Davidson engines, John turned personal curiosity into groundbreaking technology, earning his reputation as one of the most respected names in cam and gear design. Through precision, creativity, and relentless problem-solving, he set a new standard for what riders could expect from their machines, while inspiring generations of designers and builders to push the limits of performance.


In 1972, John founded Andrews Products, Inc., which continues to innovate and supply top-tier performance components worldwide. His work designing transmission gears and camshafts became essential to performance upgrades across Harley-Davidson platforms, and his development of specialized cam design software helped usher the industry into a new era of advanced engineering solutions. What began as enhancements to his own Shovelhead quickly grew into one of the most influential performance companies in motorcycling.


Beyond his technical achievements, John has been a mentor to countless cam designers, shaping the next generation of engine performance experts.
