In 1970, Joe Teresi, Lou Kimzey, and Mil Blair—collectively known as The Three Paisanos—founded Easyriders magazine, publishing its first issue in 1971. Almost immediately, the magazine became the most iconic and influential motorcycle publication in history, shaping the modern biker lifestyle more profoundly than films or any other print media. Known for its authenticity, boldness, and unapologetic celebration of motorcycle culture, Easyriders quickly earned a devoted following around the world, defining what motorcycling—and the lifestyle surrounding it—looked like for generations.
Under their leadership, the magazine elevated the custom motorcycle movement, introducing legendary builders, artists, photographers, and riders to a global audience while helping cement Sturgis as the epicenter of American motorcycling culture. Countless Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame inductees have appeared on its covers or within its pages, establishing Easyriders as the premier platform for showcasing craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation. With the magazine now returned to its roots in Sturgis, South Dakota, the enduring influence of Joe Teresi, Lou Kimzey, and Mil Blair continues to shape both motorcycle culture and popular culture worldwide, leaving a legacy unmatched in its scope, impact, and vision.
